Friends of Cwmdonkin Park

Friends of Cwmdonkin Park is a community group dedicated to making the park the best it can be!

We encourage community engagement, help maintain the park and make it as beautiful and bio-diversified as possible.

We also aim to inform people about the park, its history, flora and fauna and its links with Dylan Thomas.

We organise a number of community events in the park each year that are well supported by local residents and visitors.

We help to keep the park clean by regular litter picks.

Why not become a Friend of the Park?

We are always looking for new members. We will ask for a small donation annually in the Spring, but this is a suggestion. Please feel free to give what you can or just your time and support.

There’s a number of ways you can get involved from supporting events, contributing ideas, help with fundraising, helping to keep the park clean or helping with communications.

What you will gain?

  • Meet new people
  • Learn more about the nature and history
  • Keep updated with park news
  • Be part of a community

We have a Code of Conduct for all members so that everyone can get the best  from their experience as a volunteer.   Please read it here.
